Peak season

Its been awhile since the last post. You blink and the season passes you by. We somewhat recovered from the slow start. This drought has been extremely hard on the farm. The heat did shorted our spinach and lettuce season to the point of total loss. Some of our potato varieties also have been ruined by the lack of water but not all varieties. We also struggled with thistle and other weeds. These weeds hurt our bean patch and shortened our peas season. Farming is not always the nice pictures that you see there is a lot that goes on behind those pictures. All in all there has been success so far. This season has given us a new perspective on how to farm and teaches us about our watering system and what we can do in the future to better prepare this farm.
